About IPS

A policy is a specific decision or set of decisions, together with the related actions designed to implement them, designed to carry out such a course of action. Thus, a policy is a projected programme consisting of desired objectives and the means to achieve them.

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is an independent organization and it was established in 2016 with the purpose to analyze, study and evolve public policy concepts and ideas in India. The Institute of Policy Studies, primarily, analyzes public policies. It also establishes thoughtful connections and network among thought scholars, and communicates its research outcomes to the elite minds and also a wider audience. The Institute examines issues of critical national interest across a variety of fields, and studies the thought-nature, attitudes, preferences and aspirations of Indians.

The principal objectives of the Institute of Policy Studies are:

Improvement and strengthening of the process of policy formulation.

Enhancement of qualitative governance and public management.

Promotion of research projects for community prosperity in response to local, regional and national needs.
